  • 3D printed LED light cover with t-glase

    One of our project is to print LED light cover with transparent material suc as t-Glade from Taulman3D. The result is exceptionally good and we can create light path for custom structure. The material used is t-Glase clear and here is the outcome. The outcome is good as we need to make holes between the LED and light must be bright enough to see in daylight. Bottom layer is limited to 3 layers and printing temperature is set to 240 degC. Printing higher temperature produces more opaque layers.     We have great news to all our customers as we are now stocking more high strength material such as Alloy 910 and Nylon 230 from Taulman as well as new flexible filament from MadeSolid. We also have BuildTak sheets in limited stock for customers who wanted to try out printing of nylon on cold plate.   • Printing of Cup using PCTPE

    To test our PCTPE filament, we decided to print a cup design downloaded from Thingiverse Cup. Thing: 49834. The output is very good and the printer used is Replicator 2X with heated bed and glass plate. Heated bed temperature set to 40 deg C and glass plate lightly coated with UHU glue stick. Extruder temperature is 230 deg C similar to normal ABS printing temperature. Print it with open top and sliced using Simplify 3D software. Printing in progress. Print results: Printed cup with the PCTPE spool.

  • Printing Taulman Bridge Filament on Replicator 2

    Here are my notes on printing of Bridge filament from Taulman3D. I tried it on Makerbot Replicator 2 with UHU glue stick and heated build plate. According to Taulman, there is no need for heated build plate. My settings are as follows: Extruder Temperature: 245 deg C Printing Speed: 40mm/s Platform Temperature: 70 deg C Thin layer of UHU stick glue on the surface.
